RshoreRabbi Evan Shore

Having an impact upon a student’s moral compass is what Rabbi Shore enjoys most about teaching at the Day School, in addition to the strong feeling of family that has been present since he started teaching at the SHDS 25 years ago.  A graduate of Yeshiva College, Rabbi Shore was ordained by Rabbi Isaac Elchanon Theological Seminary and attended the Azrieli School for Jewish Education of Yeshiva University.  Prior to teaching at SHDS, he was the rabbi of Congregation Shaarei Israel in North Carolina and Jewish Studies teacher at the Hillel School.  Rabbi Shore believes that Jewish unity is of the utmost importance:  “united we stand, divided we fall.”   Rabbi Shore teaches chumash, dinim and prayer to Grades 3-6.
